This Privacy Policy describes how Monlio("we", "us", or "our") collects, uses, and protects information when you use Monlio: Money & Wealth Tracker (the "App") and https://monlio.app(the "Website").

Information we collect
Account information
When you sign in with Apple or Google, we receive basic account identifiers provided by those services (such as a user ID and, if you choose to share it, your name or email address). This information is used to authenticate you and associate your profile with your App data.
Finance data you enter
The App stores the financial information you choose to enter, including accounts, transactions, categories, currencies, and settings. This data is stored locally on your device in an offline SQLite database.
iCloud sync data
If you enable iCloud sync, your finance data is synchronized across your Apple devices using Apple CloudKit. CloudKit data is subject to Apple's privacy practices and your iCloud account settings.
Device and usage information
We may collect limited technical information necessary to operate the App and Website, such as device type, operating system version, and crash diagnostics if you opt in to sharing diagnostics with Apple. We do not use third-party advertising trackers.
Website information
When you visit the Website, standard server logs may include your IP address, browser type, and pages visited. If you contact us via email, we receive the information you provide in your message.
How we use information
- Provide, maintain, and improve the App and Website
- Authenticate users and enable optional iCloud sync
- Respond to support requests
- Comply with legal obligations
Third-party services
The App may retrieve public market data from third parties, including:
- Frankfurter (European Central Bank exchange rates)
- CoinGecko (cryptocurrency prices)
- Yahoo Finance (stock prices)
These requests generally do not include your personal finance data. Authentication is handled by Apple Sign In and Google Sign In, which are governed by their respective privacy policies.
Data storage and security
Finance data is stored locally on your device by default. You can enable app lock with Face ID, Touch ID, or a passcode. While we implement reasonable safeguards, no method of electronic storage is 100% secure.
Your choices
- Turn iCloud sync on or off in Settings
- Sign out while keeping local data on your device
- Delete your account from the App, which removes local profile and finance data on that device
- Contact us to request assistance with data questions
Data retention
Local data remains on your device until you delete it or uninstall the App. iCloud data retention follows Apple CloudKit policies. Support correspondence is retained as long as needed to resolve your request.
Children's privacy
The App is not directed to children under 13 (or the minimum age required in your jurisdiction). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
International users
If you use the App from outside European Union, your information may be processed in countries where our service providers operate, including the United States and countries where Apple or Google process authentication data.
Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post the updated version on this page and update the "Last updated" date. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
